Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The Cancerkin Walk on Sunday 8 June on Hampstead Heath was a great success. We had brilliant weather: a warm sun with a cool breeze. The walk itself was a delight with glorious views over London and tree shaded paths when a climb brought up a sweat.
I completed two circuits of 5km with 6 friends and lots of other Cancerkin supporters. I felt great and reflected on how fortunate I am to enjoy all that life gives. It was a joyous occasion.
It is by no means too late to support me retrospectively! So please do donate to Cancerkin who support me and hundreds of other breast cancer patients.
Working a day a week at Cancerkin brings home to me as well, how much Cancerkin’s helping hand and friendly support means to the women who come straight there from learning that they have a diagnosis of breast cancer. I also see at first hand the strength that Cancerkin can give a woman whom I met the other day who had lost all her hair through chemotherapy, and who had just come back from her first walk (on Hampstead Heath) without her wig. Hairless and proud.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
