Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you will remember, I ran the London Marathon in 2017 for Diabetes UK. During my marathon journey, I got to know a number of other runners representing Diabetes UK in marathon events and it was a truly humbling experience. Although I found it challenging to train for and run a marathon, the challenges I faced were nothing in comparison to my team mates with diabetes. Trying to fuel correctly for a long run is tricky at the best of times, but when you factor in diabetes, it's a whole different ball game. I've kept in touch with many of the Diabetes UK runners and continue to be blown away by what those legends continue to achieve in the face of an utterly cruel condition.
This year, I have my own place in the London Marathon; however, I have chosen to run for Diabetes UK again because of the fantastic work the charity does to help people with diabetes throughout the country. Because I have paid for my own place, all the money I raise will go directly to Diabetes UK.
Please give generously. Thank you very much for your ongoing support!
