Rotary Charity Fundraisers have given me my place in IRONMAN UK 2014, 50% of all funds raised go to the charities they support and 50% goes to a nominated charity of my choice - Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Why Pancreatic Cancer UK?

3 years ago my sister was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis and she is directly affected by the work they undertake. The news letters and group meetings they offer allow people like my sister to meet others in the same situation and helps them and their families to get through the ordeal of having a Pancreatic illness.

Why an IRONMAN?

I have wanted to do something to really challenge myself for a long time, but was never sure on which event/challenge to choose. In my opinion the IRONMAN is the ultimate test of endurance covering three different disciplines and a total of 140.6 miles. The target is to finish the race in under 17hrs to be an official IRONMAN finisher.
