Story
Our son, Culann, was born in September 2017 at 34 weeks, after my wife had already been admitted to the hospital 6 weeks prior. He weighed just 3 lbs 15 ounces and was thankfully able to breath on his own when he came into the world. He was admitted to the NICU in Holles Street and to say the team of nurses, midwives and doctors in there were amazing is the understatement of the year. They were with him round the clock and were always willing to help us first time parents, give us advice and even take a late night phone call. It was a very scary time but we got great support from everyone we spoke to which was reassuring. After one week we were allowed to take him home. It was a very relieving time and I remember being so grateful, walking away thinking what incredible work everyone in Holles Street did for our little superhero. 🧑⚕️👨⚕️👶🏼 💪
