Story

So, time to let you all know about a little bit of charity fundraising I am planning.

I am going to do the London To Brighton bike ride in June 2014 on a childs BMX, raising money and awareness for 3 charities close to mine and Jades hearts. The National Osteoporosis Society, The National Eczema Society and Asthma UK ( I can only add one charity to the page but proceeds will be split between all 3).

This page is for The Osteoporosis Society

Our son Brody goes through so much, having found out last year that on top of having severe Eczema and Asthma he also has Osteoporosis. He broke his femur ( the biggest bone in the body), has also broken his arm and had a metal plate inserted which his body reacted to ( hes allergic to metals), the plate has been removed and he now has a 3 inch scar in its place. The boy goes through too much, has done since birth and its now my turn to do some good, raise some money and support others that go through it everyday.

He has been admitted to hospital more times than I can recall, and I dont truly believe people understand how hard it is, for him and for us as a family.

Brody struggles daily, if he touches water his hands itch, if he runs a short distance his breathing is affected, if he falls over he risks breaking a bone. Its a daily struggle to keep ontop of his skin condition and his breathing quality. No day is simple and my wife is a fantastic mum to him who is strong through all the bad times giving him the amazing grounding and figure of support that he needs.

I have put some pictures up to give an understanding of just what he deals with, such a strong inspirational young man.

Get ready to show some love and we appreciate all the support you can give.
