Cancer is a disease that can affect anyone we know. It then affects the people close to that person. I lost my dad to cancer a few years ago, so Yorkshire Cancer Research is a charity that is close to me.

On 20th October I'll be running in the first ever Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon, through the beautiful, medieval city of York and the North Yorkshire countryside. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Running a marathon will be a new challenge for me and a great opportunity to raise money for my chosen charity.
