Ran the 10k today, 1:05:14, a good time (for me). Lovely weather and quite nice scenery. Hope to do it again next year!! Thanks very much to those who have sponsored me or sent encouragement via text etc etc. If you'd like to sponsor me, the page will be up for around 6 weeks. Thanks xx
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Hello everyone,
Where to begin? At the beginning of the year, I was diagnosed as Insulin resistant, and thanks to the amazing care I have received from our fabulous NHS, and the FREE running club at Sweatshop (David Lloyd Next Generation) Brierley Hill, I have so far managed to lose some 12kg in weight, and have developed a serious enthusiasm for running! So I thought, in a roundabout way, that I'd like to pay something back, and this is where you come in!
Action Heart is a local charity, that provide a cardiac rehabilitation service that helps people who have suffered from a heart attack, undergone cardiac surgery, or have a cardiac related condition. Coronary Heart Disease is now seen to be the UK's biggest killer and Action Heart is dedicated to the primary and secondary prevention of this condition.
I'll be running the 10k on 25th September, and bluntly, I'd like to raise as much money as I can for this excellent charity, I know times are very tough, but I'm sure Action Heart would put to good use every donation, no matter how big or small.
Thank you.
