Story

I am entering the TCS London Marathon 2023 to raise vital funds for people with disabilities and I would welcome your support! Calvert Trust Exmoor is an outdoor adventure centre and charity in North Devon, providing activity breaks for people with physical, behavioural, sensory and learning disabilities.

[TO THOSE WHO DONATED PRIOR TO THE CANCELLED 2020 LONDON MARATHON... THANK YOU! - YOUR CONTRIBUTION HAS ALREADY BEEN PASSED ON TO CALVERT TRUST EXMOOR <3]

Everyone should be given the opportunity to enjoy the physical, social and psychological benefits of exercise and adventure.

By virtue of their beautiful resort on top of Exmoor National Park, the Calvert Trust is able to provide activity and adventure holidays for children and young adults with physical, learning, behavioral and sensory disabilities.

Their mission lies very near to my heart. In November I am undertaking a challenge to promote their cause and to raise funds in order to enable more enjoy their resort and the activities they have to offer.

As the Calvert Trust Exmoor has kindly granted me the opportunity to run the 2023 London Marathon under their flag, I thought it would be a good idea to properly prepare in order to perform as well as possible.

From November 2nd to November 25th I will attempt to walk the 630 mile South West Coast Path which goes from Minehead in Somerset, through Devon (and Exmoor National Park), through Cornwall and back through Devon before ending Poole in Dorset.

The South West Coast Path is the longest trail in England and if I succeed I will have walked, on average, a marathon every day.

If you feel like supporting me, please consider making a contribution towards the cause of Calvert Trust Exmoor. You can follow walk on Instagram @philiprichardevans.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Much love,

Philip
