Story
Thanks very much for visiting my Trek Machu Picchu fundraising page. I am really pleased you have visited - my chosen charity Dogs For The Disabled desperately needs to raise funds to train puppies to be assistance dogs for disabled people and autistic children across the UK. These brilliant dogs (once trained) help those in need with many things most of us take for granted and, more importantly, can give a disabled person the confidence to venture out of their home where they can often feel a prisoner.
The trek will most definitely NOT be a holiday, but will be a difficult challenge partly due to the high altitude and also the steep terrain. However it will also be a wonderful opportunity and unique experience and I'm determined to succeed in this challenge.
Any amount, no matter how small or large, will be gratefully appreciated by Dogs For The Disabled and all the people it helps. It will also spur me on when the going gets tough and the air gets thin and will help me reach the end of the trek with a smile on my face (and possibly a limp!).
So please dig deep into your pockets and sponsor me now.
Thank you! Philip
