Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I hope this will inspire you to donate to such a magnificent charity. In January this year a very lively and cheeky 5 year old boy by the name of Jake Ballinger was diagnosed with Leukaemia. The news hit hard not just to his family but also to us as friends. Jake was admitted immediately to Birmingham Childrens Hospital where his treatment thanks to Leukaemia research was started. I have seen this horrible disease knock a bubbly and cheeky little boy off his feet, yet he is a little fighter and will not let this disease beat him and the work Leukaemia and Lymphoma research carry out has given Jake and thousands others a chance to fight this aggressive disease and without this wonderful work would let cancer win.
The purpose of this page is to raise valuable funds to hopefully push forward the research and to have a dream of one day being able to beat blood cancers. Over 2 weeks in October i will be giving my time to raise funds with a half marathon in Birmingham on the 20th and the week before to warm things up i will be taking part in the Nottingham survival of the Fittest challenge.
