Story
It’s been 12 years since Hannah left us. In those 12 years she should have been enjoying school, having fun with her friends and building happy memories with her family, Clare, Chris and Cameron.
Neuroblastoma is a particularly aggressive form of childhood cancer. Hannah, at the age of nine, smiled bravely throughout her treatment. She never stopped being a little girl, even at the end.
It’s something no child and no family should ever have to go through. But Solving Kids’ Cancer were a light in the darkness, at that dreadful time. They made an enormous difference by supporting Hannah and her family, fundraising for treatment and being a source of precious guidance, information and comfort.
It’s a truly wonderful charity and I’m very proud to support it in Hannah’s memory. But today there are many families all over the UK dealing with the reality of seeing their child battling cancer.
So I’m asking for your help, because I’ve set myself a massive challenge.
I’m going to run a 50 mile ultramarathon by the time I’m 50. This gives me a little over a year to get there. We’re talking about a no nonsense off-road ultramarathon with lots of hills, mud and over friendly cows. A challenge indeed! To mark the start of this enormous journey I’m running the Abingdon marathon this weekend.
Your sponsorship will not only keep me on track but you’ll also be giving incredible support for kids with cancer and their families.
Thank you
