Story
I have foolishly decided to run a hilly marathon, because when I have done other marathons a small part of my already small brain says, "well...you've done one before...I wouldn't bother doing any training if I were you...which I am".
This is generally not a good idea. Marathons involve a lot of running, a fair amount of pain, and usually a few tears (but don't tell anyone that bit). Training is needed. Hills scare me into training.
However, I have chosen this.
Many people face challenges they did not necessarily choose, and thank goodness there are places like the 'School for Parents' to help guide, educate, support and train new parents of children with additional needs.
When my friends had their boy, Matt many years ago now, he had Down's Syndrome and various other medical conditions. This place was brilliant in helping him and them with the support, knowledge and practical help they needed at that time.
I don't really have that many friends, so I'm not expecting huge amounts here and I'm not setting a target... But it is my birthday in April, so maybe a donation in lieu of a birthday card or a birthday drink? It would be much appreciated.
Thank you :-)
