Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cancer could effect anyone of us at anytime, it has effected my own family this year, causing great pain and sadness, but I have also seen how it can can inspire good and motivate others.
I recently became aware through friends of 10 year old Ethan Maull, raising money and inspiring others to do the same whilst battling children's bone cancer. Sadly Ethan passed away recently but his legacy lives on through family & friends. Please take time to read Ethan's story.
http://upyourstocancer.co.uk/ethans-storySo after 9 years of competing in triathlons from Sprint to Double Iron, I find myself for the first time looking to raise sponsorship, raising it for a truly great cause, Ethan's "Up Yours To Cancer" foundation.
At 2pm on 30th May 2014 I will start my next challenge, I am competing in the British Ultra Triathlon Championships , a 7.2 mile swim, 336 mile cycle followed by a 78 mile run, a total of 421 miles, non stop.
Full details of the event can be found at www.enduroman.com , Festival of Ultra Events
I know that I will go through periods of pain, despair and elation on my journey, nothing compared to what Ethan and his family have gone through but it will be a huge challenge.
I ALSO HAVE A CHALLENGE FOR YOU.
When you make a donation on this page for Ethan's "Up Yours to Cancer" foundation, also leave a time which you think I will complete my challenge in. If I achieve my sponsorship goal, the person with the closest time to my finish time will receive a bottle of bubbly as a thank you.
Come on guys, help motivate me to finish this, lets raise atleast £1 for every mile of the race.
