Story

Hi

I am attempting for the second time to run what is classed as one of the toughest races on earth . I am doing this in memory of my father who died of Bowel Cancer in 2013. My father was stationed in the desert with the Royal Air Force in the fifties and really loved the desert, I watched him suffer for 6 months with this awful disease, and lose half his body weight. The small amount of money he left me has covered the cost of the race and i know he would be proud of what i am doing, fundraising to help 'Beating Bowel Cancer. The race is a self -sufficent,  multi stage race , you carry everything on your back that you need to survive. . you sleep in a tent at night and are given water , but everything else food , first aid, sleeping bag , cooking stove , headtorch etc must be carried by you.,  it will be harder for me this time as i am no spring chicken but i will do my best  for my father and  'Beating Bowel Cancer. Thank You

Phil
