Phil's London Marathon History
I've been running now since October 2017 ...in which time I have completed the 2018 London Marathon, London Vitality 10K and Maidstone Half Marathon.
Running is now a massive part of my life, definately the best thing I have ever done and I would urge anybody to take up such a rewarding regime, that not only keeps the mind and body fit and healthy ...but also enables us to raise money for people who would give anything to be in our more fortunate position.
I completed the race in 1994 in 6hrs as a 23 year old. In 2018 as a 46 year old I achieved my target of 4-5hrs, finishing in 4hrs 57min. My target for 2019 is 4hr 30min.
In May 2019 I will be running in the 2019 Edinburgh Marathon, providing Charlton Athletic don't reach the League One Play offs like they did in 2018 (and then buggered it up).
Scope Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to Scope ...so it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. My target for 2019 is £2,500.
Thanks to everyone who has supported me.
