Moonlight Walk 2023 · 17 June 2023 ·

Our much-loved Moonlight Walk returns this June 17th at Chichester College. We will be sending all walkers off in one big wave at 8pm, after a warm-up, to walk the route around Chichester.

Story

Back in November 2022 we started a journey that no-one wants to take... with investigations resulting in a diagnosis of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer for our dear Phil Shelley.

Phil was the most gentle soul you could encounter and has been the most wonderful partner to Dee. He navigated the last 7 months with incredible strength and dignity supported every step of the way by our friends, family, GP, staff at St Richard's Hospital and St Wilfrid's Hospice.

We are taking part in this walk to show what Phil meant to us, how much our lives will be affected by his absence and to show our gratitude to the hospice team who cared for Phil so tenderly in his final days.

The Moonlight Walk raises money for the incredible St Wilfred's Hospice, who have provided Phil and Dee with essential support during this challenging time. By donating to this page, you will be helping them to provide support for local patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses, by giving vital care in the comfort of their own homes and the in-patient ward at the hospice. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact.

Thank you so much for your support.
