Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The money you donate will be sent to Dorset Historic Churches Trust.  They will send half of it to St Mary's for our direct use, the other half and any tax reclaim will be used to top up their funds.  These funds are used to provide grants for Dorset historic churches needing help with their renovation and repair projects.  St Mary's has taken advantage of DHCT grants to help with past projects, and is very grateful for their financial assistance.

My plan is to visit 15 churches over approximately 25 miles, in the time allotted (8 hours).  My sponsors can promise to donate a fixed sum for all 15, or so much per church if you prefer. However, if you do the latter there is a danger I might go on and do more.  

Last year the weather brightened up after lunch, I got into the groove, and carried on going, clocking up 21 churches over 42 miles.  This year I am one year older (69), so I am making no promises to overachieve, because I must take heed of my physical limitations.

So please be generous and donate if you feel that I am supporting a deserving cause. I'm doing it because I want our churches to be available in the future, as a resource for all in their communities, irrespective of whatever faith or none they might possess.

I will provide evidence on this page and my Facebook page, using Ride with GPS which will record my route, once I have taken part on Saturday 9th September.
