Story
The Cedar team challenge is to each run 60 Miles in August to raise awareness of MND, this is being done through an initiative with the MND Association.
This is a particularly poignant challenge for our team as our friend and colleague, Christian Younes, lost his battle with MND in July of this year. He will be a huge loss to our team both personally and professionally, and we all benefited so much from his wisdom, warmth, humour, and friendship. We will hold him with great fondness in our memories.
MND Association
The MNDA https://www.mndassociation.org/ mission is to help everyone living with and affected by MND access the help and the support they need.
What is MND?
MND is a group of diseases that affect the nerves (motor neurones) in the brain and spinal cord that tell your muscles what to do. Messages from the motor neurons gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen, and waste away. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, MND affects everyone differently. Symptoms also progress at varying speeds, which makes the course of the disease difficult to predict.
What can you do to help?
When MND is diagnosed, it comes as a devastating blow to families and loved ones; and they need support. Will you go the extra mile for people affected by MND? Please help the Cedar team raise money for MND sufferers and their loved ones.
