I was part of a group of Worcestershire Ambassadors who visited the First World War Battlefields in Ypres in 2019 which included a visit to Gheluvelt. I was touched by the extent of the losses of that generation of young men and was keen to:-

1. Fund a more fitting memorial to the Worcestershire Regiment in Gheluvelt

2. Create a fund in Worcestershire to provide Bursaries to Worcestershire Schools so children can learn more about not only the Worcestershire Regiments famous stand but the sacrifice of that generation.

3. Raise £30k for the Royal British Legion for Worcestershire Veterans and their families.

I am not a cyclist and this will represent a significant personal challenge for me.
