We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

After suffering with progressively ill health over the past few years, our father, Eric Brackstone, sadly passed away on the 13th January, 2018.

Dad respected a number of charities throughout the years but among a few that he supported more recently, The Nick Cotton Foundation, via Brain Tumour Research, stood out as one that very much touched his heart.

This was a desperately sad case, whereby Nick was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour on the 13th November, 2012 and after various treatments, he passed away on the 5th September, 2013.

Dad's association to Nick was via Nick's wife Rachael, being the best friend of his granddaughter, Clare.

This charity only receives 1% of the total national spend on cancer research.

Finally, the entire families associated with Dad would like to extend their sincere thanks to you all for your kind donations to this charity, Brain Tumour Research, on his behalf. This will hopefully have a positive effect on people suffering with this illness in the future and ultimately, one day, provide a suitable cure.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
