Too many people with ataxia struggle to receive a diagnosis. Many medical professionals are unaware of ataxia, so this IAAD we are walking together to our GP surgeries to deliver specialist Guidelines to support them and raise awareness and funds.

Story

I was diagnosed with ATAXIA in 2018, a degenerative neurological condition which effects mobility, speech & fine motor control.
I had to give up cycling in 2019 and it shaped my thinking about retirement from Central Saint Martins in 2020.
My condition is deteriorating but I still try to walk around the village every other day to maintain some level of fitness and activity.
I am aware this condition if very rare and not generally understood or even known about, so to help raise awareness of this condition I am walking from the Offords to Buckden Surgery (2.5m) on Saturday 25 September to deliver an information pack as part of International Ataxia Awareness Day.
Please support me if you can.
