Story
Since having had Covid twice and several injuries over the last 18 months or so I am finding running much more of a challenge than I used to. I am using my advancing age as an excuse to push myself to complete this amazing event!
I have been training all year to gradually build up to it and hope you will be able to support my efforts. My uncle, dad and brother all died from Leukaemia so I am running to benefit Blood Cancer who do so much good work to combat blood cancer diseases .
The charity is a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
