Story
The Fred Whitton Challenge is one of the hardest cycling challenges in Briton. It consists of 112 miles (178km) around the Lake District, starting at Grasmere and taking in climbs of Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott & Wrynose passes (10,780ft/3286m of climbing). www.fredwhittonchallenge.co.uk . It is something I have wanted to do, as do many cyclist.
- It is further than I have ever ridden in a day.
- It is more climbing than I have ever done in a day
- It will be 8-9 hours in the saddle (hopefully no more)
It will be painful, but I am committed to doing it. I hope you feel this extreme event is worth supporting and helping Macmillan support more patients and families in their time of need.
