Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
2018 I attempted to climb Snowdon with friends and family. I got a good chunk of the way up but had to stop and turn around. I was so unfit and19stone. I got back to the visitors centre and made a commitment to myself that some day I will scale the mountain.
The only way is to loose the weight and get fit.
Wild camping trip to Derwent with a great friend was tough. The walk from the car with my 35lbs on my back to the visitors centre (couple hundred meters slight uphill) I thought I had pulled off more than I could do. But I got that done and then it was just 1 step in front of the other. The sense of self pride was amazing when I sat down at the pub literally at the end of the trail the next day.
Leap frog a while and
I entered a step challenge during Covid and won having averaged 10.8miles a day for 3 months. And getting so close to getting below 14stone. I hadn't felt so good, full of energy or slept so well in a long time.
I reached out to a couple of friends about the next challenge. And this would be to wild camp up Snowdon. So a bigger longer walk again its going to have to have the 35lbs back pack on. So training and equipment is needed.
You need a goal.
I need to conquer Snowdon. I will conquer Snowdon.
And I will have great friends there with me. At the moment we are looking at June/July just trying to sync calendars and book time off etc.
And why not set up a just giving page as well. Its for a good cause.
