Hello everyone!

My name is Rivia 🐶 and my shelled sister's name is Elsa 🐢 We decided to set up our "Pets Help Brains" personal fundraising page to support the charity SameYou, and we would be very grateful if you could donate whilst you are here to help the charity continue the amazing work they do.

The charity aims to improve recovery and rehabilitation for brain injury survivors, something that is hard to come by in many places, or not available at all for some people. They've already done so much in relation to this, including:

☆Raising awareness about brain injury, and how widespread it actually is.
☆ Funding much needed research into innovative therapy and recovery programs for patients.
☆Enabling nurses to train in advanced brain injury by commissioning unique Masters level degree education.
☆ Stepping up when needed. For example, they have recently responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by enabling brain injury survivors to virtually receive the therapy and support they desperately needed in lockdown.
☆ Having long-term visions for the future, such as working with neurorehabilitation leaders in the medical field to create new ways of helping people in their recovery from a brain injury.

Aside from fundraising, we hope to spread the word about SameYou and brain injury overall. Did you know that 1 in 3 people will experience an acquired brain injury in their life? It's a lot more common than people think.
