Story
On the 28th of February 2019 our funny, wild, beautiful friend Petra took her own life.
We are all heartbroken, but she would hate if she knew we were all sitting around doing nothing. Petra absolutely loved being outdoors and one thing that she had always wanted to do was the Three Peaks Challenge. For those who aren’t sure what it is - you climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon (the highest peak in each Scotland, England and Wales) and drive between the three within 24 hours. So we thought what better way to honour Petra than by doing the challenge ourselves?! During the first week of July 2019 the four of us will be completing this gruelling task.
We are raising money for Samaritans to help raise awareness of mental illness. We all know someone who has been affected by it in some way but it’s still not spoken about enough, so we need to let people know that it’s okay not to be okay.
Any donations would be hugely appreciated - even if it’s just £1. And if you really can’t donate then please share this.
And don’t forget to check on your friends!
Thank you - Becca, Sophie, Kate and Paige x
