Story

Why run 26.2 miles ?  Isnt that why cars were invented ?

I would not expect to raise much sponsorship by driving round the Flora London marathon course, Sunday 26th April. But by running in my first marathon, i would like to raise, with your help £1000 for our local hospice, St Clare's.

As a local Hospice, you are probably aware, maybe  from first hand experience, or know of somebody who has  received expert care and help from the dedicated staff of this wonderful facillity.

St Clare's only receives 30% of its funding by the NHS. With public donations making up the remainder of its 2.5million expenditure. This is why i intend to raise as much money as possible.

Upto two years ago i had never run before (only a bath!), so it will also be of great personal achievement if i make it round in my target time of 4 1/4  Hrs.

I know money is tight at this time, but St Clare still needs whatever you can spare.

Thanking you for your help. Peter Wenzel.

( I will be running  in BSRC colours. green & yellow. Race No 25004)
