For homeless people in our town, life is about enduring it and not for living it. You can make a difference with a few clicks of your mouse on that orange button above.
On the 28th January 2006 (Homelessness Saturday/Sunday), I will be sleeping outside with no more than a blanket, cardboard box and a sleeping bag on a very cold and frosty Saturday night!
I work for this worthwhile cause as the community fundraiser.
On average 25-30 people access our morning drop in service Monday-Saturday at our day centre; those who sleep without a roof, warmth, safety that we take for granted when living in our houses and flats.
All money raised will go to support our services for over 500 local homeless people each year in the Worthing area - our day centre, short term hostel (14 beds), long term hostel (13 beds) and our new hostel, the Recovery Project (12 beds - due to open Spring 2006)
The Recovery Project will house 12 clients who are right now condemned to live on the streets unable to maintain abstainance from drug and alcohol use. It will be a management reduction based project turning people away from a choatic and destructive lifestyle.
8 out of 10 clients find their own accommodation through our services.
Please remember to Gift Aid your donation if you pay UK tax!
