Story

In memory of Peter Sidney Sturgeon, 20/08/1923 to 29/04/2021.

Born in North London, he served in The Royal Tank Regiment during World War Two, returning to civilian life and his career in insurance in 1948. He maintained an interest in the army for the rest of his life, being a member of the Territorial Army for many years, and eventually an honorary member of the Royal Marine Reserves.

His hobbies included making model soldiers, live steam railways and attending military band concerts.

Peter is survived by his wife Shirley, his three children and two grandchildren.

Donations would be appreciated for the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) in lieu of flowers.
