Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
When I was much younger I used to run quite a lot, and took part in the Torbay and Edinburgh Marathons back in 1982.
Shortly after this, I found that I had Multiple Sclerosis and suffered a couple of attacks, which put paid to much physical exercise for a while. Also, a time-demanding job, getting married and starting a family (and continuing to smoke like a chimney) didn't help to keep myself fit!
However, with the medical support that I've received, and the beta interferons and rebif injections that I've been provided with, my condition has been well controlled, and recently I've been trying to get back into some sort of fitness (any sort would be welcome for a 48 year old!).
After watching the 2007 London Marathon last year, I vowed that I would get myself fit enough to run this April, and would run to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre.
So, I'm currently doing my bit in the gym and on the open road to get fit again and hope that you will support me with some sponsorship for the marathon.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
