Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

After running the New York Marathon in 1999 and climbing Kilimanjaro in 2005 I have decided that it is time for one last fund-raising challenge. This time I shall be trekking the last degree to the South Pole (i.e.from 89 degrees South) and climbing Mount Vinson , the highest mountain on the Antarctic Continent at just over 16,000 ft. Conditions will be extreme with temperatures regularly below -35 c and considerably colder at the summit of Vinson . I will be camping on the ice for approximately 3 weeks in one of the world's last great wildernesses. I am funding this trip myself so everything you give will go to the Prince's Trust to help disadvantaged young people . I know times are tough but please do the best you can for someone who has probably had a permanently tough time.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Prince's Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.
