Story

Cycle4Sepsis is back for its 8th year and I am supporting them in their mission to raise awareness about sepsis across the country. In celebration of World Sepsis Day on 13th September, I will be cycling for the duration of September:

I am going to attempt over 30 miles a day, hopefully cycle 1000 miles and raise £1000 in September - rain, hail or snow, not sure I’ll make it, therefore all your support WILL definitely help!

Every year in the UK, sepsis kills at least 48,000 people with better awareness thousands of these lives could be saved.

Thank you for your help! Your support and donations will make the difference!

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
