In Nov 2023 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  The news came as a huge shock and was completely overwhelming. And that's when Maggie's Fife came to my rescue. While the superb staff of NHS Fife looked after the practicalities of my treatment, Maggie's helped keep my head straight, manage my expectations, and cope with the emotional side of my cancer journey. I'm not sure how I would have managed without Maggie's, and I really can't thank them enough for the amazing support they have given me.

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. I was extremely lucky and my cancer was detected early, I successfully underwent robot-assisted surgery at the end of March 2023 and I am now cancer free.

Now that I'm feeling much better I really want to give something back to Maggie's - to thank them for the support they gave me, and to help them continue to support other cancer sufferers in Fife.
