Initially set up to raise money in lieu of flowers for Peter's funeral in September 2014 this page is now continuing to help raise money on behalf of Peter wherever the opportunity arises

Peter worked for the Fire Service for 28 years helping people and making a difference every day. He was selfless, dedicated, brave and thought nothing of going the extra mile to help anybody that asked. He was a great father, brother, partner, friend and colleague to so many people. He was also a highly respected Training Instructor for CDDFRS but also Nationally with the National BA Challenge. 

Peter battled with Mental Health issues for many years but devastatingly he lost this battle in 2014. MH issues are common and can effect anybody at anytime yet are still taboo and rarely talked about. 

Every year his friends and family take part in activities to raise awareness and much needed money for the two charities close to Peter's heart;

Activity to date;

2014 - memorial page in lieu of Flowers - £1070 Firefighters Charity

2015 -  Sponsored walk in fire kit and breathing apparatus between Peterlee Fire station and CDDFRS Training centre - £1600 Firefighters charity

2015 - National BA Challenge - £500 MIND

2016 - Year 2 - Virtual 500 mile sponsored bike ride from CDDFRS Training centre to Fire Service College, Gloucester and back looking to raise  £500 for MIND / Firefighters Charity
