Story
Children in inner city schools rarely get the opportunity to hear live music. Therefore the Blackheath Conservatoire of Music has put together a project to bring live music into schools in Greenwich and Lewisham borough.
They plan to bring professional musicians together to play an arrangement of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf. This is a great piece that introduces several instruments to the listener and gives the children the opportunity of interacting with musicians.
I have agreed to not only give my time to play bassoon in this project but also my beloved pony tail. This has been a feature in my life for 10 years! Now, in the name of a good cause, it's time to say goodbye.
Please donate generously and the person who has made the most generous donation will get the rare opportunity to make a grown man cry by cutting off the pony tail. Alternatively, they can nominate someone else. I promise to wash my hair beforehand.
I hope this has no implications on my strength as it did with Samson. However please forgive me if I get a little teary-eyed. At least I will save some money on Shampoo.
I'll see you at the Barclaycard Bespoke Offers Town Hall meeting on the 4th December.
