Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
~25 years ago, my brother Gerald, a teacher, London Marathon veteran & quite good squash player, was given the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Since then, despite the gradual progress of his illness, he has maintained an optimistic outlook & astonishingly active lifestyle, greatly helped by the therapy, support and advice he has received from the Solent MS Therapy Centre. Our fundraising is a way of saying 'thankyou' and of ensuring that the many people who attend the Centre will continue to benefit both now & in the future.
I'm Peter, the younger and better-looking one, and I'm riding the Tour of Cambridgeshire for the second time, this time in the Gran Fondo, a timed race over 66 miles with a potential place in the UCI World Championships if I finish in the top 20% in my age-group. I'm not telling what that age-group is but, in the highly unlikely event that I do qualify, I'll be asking for bonus donations to this page!
