Story
Hey all
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sadly a friend close and dear to my heart sadly passed away at only 25
Jordan Mossom sadly passed away on April 2nd, he was one of the sweetest and loveliest people I've ever known, he was always a shining light in my life and we were always there for each other and I'm going to really miss him.
He had many great people around him that loved him and has left a big hole in many people's lives.
Jordan himself had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and I have decided to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK as one of my ways to honour Jordans memory to remember his life, the money raised will go towards the research, campaigning and support services for those that need it around the West Midlands.
This will be done in a host of ways including
Walking to and from work
Walks around with the aim of making it to several locations an aim once a week through different and new places and places which remind me of him, with an aim of doing 30 Miles a week
This will all cumulate and be working towards the National Three Peaks Challenge in July which I have linked below
https://www.charitychallenge.com/expedition/3489/National-Three-Peaks-Challenge#tabs
We have lost a bright Ray of life within Jordan but through this we can raise and give to others in his position that need it
Thank you for all for supporting during this time and I will be updating more about the fundaraiser and updates in due time.
Below is a list of what your money will go towards
£10 could provide alert cards to people with muscle-wasting conditions which help during an emergency by giving vital information about their healthcare needs
£36 could fund one hour of research towards finding effective treatments for muscle-wasting conditions – the more hours we can fund, the closer we come to breakthroughs that will change people’s lives
£60 means we could be there for anyone with a new diagnosis, helping them navigate their way through the challenges of living with a muscle-wasting condition
£100 can keep our helpline going, meaning we are there to provide vital support to anyone with muscle-wasting conditions
£180 would pay for laboratory equipment for researchers, enabling them to investigate new treatments for people with muscle-wasting conditions
£300 could fund a day of world-class research, bringing forward the day when there are effective treatments for people with muscle-wasting conditions
