Story
We lost our amazing dad in April last year suddenly. We all miss him terribly and always will. I have personally found that running has helped me deal with the grief and so in a moment of madness I thought ‘why not run a marathon for the charity he worked for’.
Now a few years ago I couldn’t even run 1km so to do 42kms will be pushing myself to the ultimate limit but what better reason to do it than for my dad.
The scheduled race I have entered on 25th April may not happen due to COVID but that won’t stop me, I will do it virtually on my own in and around Exeter.
I have also challenged myself to do a virtual half marathon a month for 2021! I am two down with 10 to go! Wish me luck!
So if you could donate as much or little as possible that would be amazing as Age UK do amazing work.
