£10,000 Raised and Counting
Last year Nick’s wife Carrie was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer shortly before the two friends were due to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for The Christie Hospital where Nick had worked.
Since then The Christie has treated Carrie and she said recently that she cannot thank them enough for the care, attention and expertise they’ve shown her over the past months. In addition to the £10,000 collected in 2023 the friends have decided to try and raise further funds for The Christie Charity by walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (186 miles).
Peter will set off from Amroth on the 3rd June and be accompanied by his wife and friends from time to time. Nick and Carrie plan to walk the final stages with him into St Dogmaels. If you would like to join in or give your financial support they know The Christie would be delighted. Also, they should be very grateful if you would forward this to others who may like to support the challenge and please remember that The Christie treats patients from across the UK so anyone can benefit from the care and expertise they provide.
