We Lost Dawn Last year on the 8th of October in a traumatic and devastating way.She had been very poorly with Covid and had developed several very large blood clots which led to a Pulmonary embolism that ultimately led to her losing her life.We had always been team Tinston that faced everything head on and always did our best.Everything changed that night and we lost Dawn who was our absolute world. A brilliant caring nurse, extraordinary mother to Lucy fantastic friend and wife. I wake up everyday with sadness that she is not here and we miss her beyond words could say and losing her has broken our hearts. Lots has happened since she left us and I wish I could tell her all that has happened. The initial fundraising response was truly overwhelming and we raised £5815 for Thrombosis UK. The donations and comments made us so proud and we would like to thank everyone for their outstanding generosity and heart felt words about Dawn. No doubt raising awareness for the charity has been part of Dawn's legacy. Another part of Dawns legacy is that we now have another family member.Dawn researched dog breeds years ago in the hope we could one day have one. A wheaten terrier was her choice because of their fun attitude to life and their quirky funny antics and how they love life. Dawn loved life. Huxley is our new family member who's name Dawn chose years ago. He is a wonderful very kind caring Dog and I know how much Dawn would have loved him. He's helped me and Lucy with our grieving and this would not have happened without Dawn so it's like shes still looking out for us. Lucy has done brilliant at school excelling in English to a high level and she is a credit to her mum who would be so proud. We are doing OK and thank family and friends for their continuing support. I want to run this for Dawn as it will be a year since she left us and I want to make her proud and raise a little bit more for the charity she was such a part of so please give a little if you can.We miss and love you Dawn.
Love Ped,Lucy & Huxley xxx.
