Story

I’m far too old to be doing this but I’m going to run the marathon this year in memory of my sister Penny and also my mum. Penny passed away just over 4 years ago now and spent the last days of her life at the Martlets. They took such good care of her and all of us too. I was so impressed by everyone there. 3 years ago my mum also passed away in her care home and Martlets staff were involved in her end of life care, making sure she was pain free at the end. I also benefited from some excellent bereavement counselling. I owe them a lot so now it’s time to pay something back!

I know this is a difficult time to be asking for a donation, but if you can spare anything to spur me on, I’d be most grateful
