Story

On Sunday 5th June I, together with over 3000 other riders, will be riding the 2011 Dragon Ride. The Dragon Ride cyclosportive is a circular 200km non competitive road cycle challenge ride over the beautiful hills and valleys of South Wales. With around 3000m of climbing, the route sets out from Pencoed near Bridgend and takes in the classic Milk Race/Tour of Britain climbs of the Bwlch, Rhigos and Brecon Beacons mountain roads.

This is my second Dragon Ride having completed the 2010 190km event in 8 hrs 45mins and this year I wanted to use the opportunity to raise some cash for charity.

I have chosen to raise money for Whizz-Kidz which is a charity that provides disabled children and young people with vital mobility equipment, opportunities to meet and have fun, and training to help them gain skills and look forward to a bright future.

For more information on both the Dragon Ride and Whizz-Kidz check out their websites at www.wiggledragonride.com www.whizz-kidz.org.uk
