We provide specialist care and support to people with life-shortening illnesses.

Story

I have decided to do the swim as a challenge to myself and also in memory of a friend, I felt it was right to give support to one of her nominated Charities. Sarah will probably be having a good laugh now and thinking "what a fool"

Having never swum competitively nor over this sort of distance / open water, it’s going to take some dedication to get myself up to the required level and given the British Weather its likely to be damned cold.

I feel very lucky that I find myself in good enough health to be able to take on an event like this in 2 months time, I know many people and especially those who have to use the services of St Catherine’s are not as lucky, for them every single minute of every day counts.

I’ll keep a blog of how things go and probably some unflattering pictures as I train.

Thanks again for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
