Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Now that's one heck of a title for a challenge, so let me explain.

In 2023 I reach 70 years of age. So  my aim is to do 70 cycle rides of 70 kilometres with a total of 70,000 feet of climbing. Forgive the mix between Imperial and Metric.

The full distance of 4,900 kilometres of cycling  is about the distance to China.

70,000 feet  of climbing on the cycle equates to going up Everest nearly 2 and a half times.

I want to do all 70 rides outside, but may have to resort to indoor sessions if it is too dangerous outside.

I'm raising much needed funds for The Critical Care Unit at North Midlands University Trust, Stoke as it was to this Unit that my son Daniel was taken after he was knocked off his motorbike. They cared for him so well and as a result of that care and indeed love, Daniel is here with us today. Its still tough seeing my lad in a wheelchair but we battle on.

If you can donate for this special charity and help me doing what I can as I reach the milestone of being 70, it will assist me to keep those pedals going round come rain, snow, wind or sunshine. Lets smash this!!!!
