Students at Cambridge take on the Peaks of the Balkans Challenge for Unseen!

Story

In September of 2022, I will be taking on the Peaks of the Balkans Challenge in support of Unseen, an amazing charity that envisions a world free from the evils of modern slavery. Over a 10 day expedition, I will be trekking through a variety of challenging terrains in Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo, and conquering 6 peaks of over 6000ft each.

I need your help to reach my fundraising goal in order to participate in this expedition so that I can support Unseen and all the wonderful work they do. Unseen is committed to working towards a world without slavery. It is currently estimated that there are 136,000 individuals affected by modern slavery and human trafficking across the UK, and 40.3 million across the globe. This needs to end.

Unseen supports survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking by helping them to escape their situation through the use of the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline and taking care of them in their safehouses. They tackle the root causes of the issues by educating people of the signs and the actions to take, and by influencing the government to develop a strategic approach to support all victims and end modern slavery.

Thank you so much for taking the time to support this cause and help make a difference in ending modern slavery. With your help, the future looks a little brighter.
