The GNR is the largest half marathon in the world. Now over 30 years old it attracts over 50,000 participants.This year we are aiming to have at least 50 runners taking part to raise money specifically for Daft as a Brush. Come and join the team!

Story

I am doing a bike ride Hadrian's wall end to end and back in memory of my great friend David Purvis who lost his battle against a brain tumour in June this year. Funds raised will go towards a new ambulance for Daft as a Brush.

About the charity

Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care, provides a free transport service to and from the Freeman/RVI Hospitals for outpatients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy treatment – some from as far afield as the Scottish Borders, North Yorkshire and West Cumbria.
