Story
Thanks All,
I'm bowled over by folks' generosity to date, so I've upped my target (but not the bikeride!)
I'm joining thousands of others on June 18th, cycling the 54-mile route from London to Brighton for the British Heart Foundation.
In March 2022, I underwent open heart surgery
(valve replacement and bypass,) at Kings Hospital. Thanks to their splendid care, I am fully active again and able to attempt this aged 67.
My second rash decision was to set an ambitious
fundraising target, so great if you are able to sponsor me please!
The BHF fund around £100 million of research each
year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them.
Heart diseases. Stroke. Vascular dementia. Diabetes. They're all connected, and they're all under their microscope. Thousands of people every year are helped through the research the BHF do. Research funded by everyday people, like me and you. Every donation you make to this page helps fund scientific breakthroughs. Please support my journey fundraising for the BHF and help turn
science fiction into reality.
Thanks, Peter.
