Story
On 18 June 2020, 205 years since the Battle of Waterloo, I'm going to be doing the 2.6 Challenge for Waterloo Uncovered. I'll be walking Dublin's Napoleonic Martello Tower defences from Bray to Howth. 10 towers and 26 miles in total.
Waterloo Uncovered is an international charity which combines world-class archaeology with a programme of care and recovery for veterans and serving military personnel suffering from some of the physical and mental impacts of their service. Since 2015 the charity has been excavating on the site of one of the world's most decisive battles - Waterloo in Belgium. In that time, we have supported over 100 beneficiaries and have made important new discoveries about the battle and the men who took part.
I've volunteered with Waterloo Uncovered on the 2018 and 2019 excavations in Belgium. I've been able to see firsthand the incredible work the charity does. I want to support it to continue that over the years ahead.
Please help me by donating if you can at all. Everything helps, no matter how small. Thank you!
