On Sunday, 26 September 2021 I will be taking part in the
Manchester Run in aid of The NeuroMuscular Centre in Winsford, Cheshire. The
NMC is a charity very close to my heart and indeed the hearts of all our
family. It is A Centre of Excellence for people with
Muscular Dystrophy and Allied Neuromuscular Conditions. It offers
physiotherapy, training, work experience and support for people with this
condition and also supports families.

It’s the only place of its kind in Europe and as far as we
know internationally. NMC has supported my Sister-in-law Lorraine Woolley for
most of her adult life providing her with great support. Without this charity
Lorraine would not have been able to achieve her life goals. It has enabled her
to work, be well and achieve more than she could have dreamt of and this is
thanks to this amazing charity.

I want to enable this charity to support as many people as
possible to give them the opportunities that Lorraine has had and still has.
