Story
One year ago, whilst in Kathmandu I suffered a sub-arachnoid Brain Haemorrhage. Luckily this was the last day of the holiday and I managed to fly back that night, had to upgrade to business class so I could lay flat.Slept all the way- so no idea what an A380 is really like.
Spent 10 days in St Georges Tooting. Great staff, looked after me well. Turns out I was just unlucky, could have happened to anyone (nothing to do with altitude or risk factors). After 2 months of bad headaches, and a couple of months of feeling like I was a student again (waking up with what seemed like a hangover) I started back with running. My running (and everything else- except the desire to re-visit Nepal) is back to normal. To celebrate I thought I'd do a half marathon, and use the opportunity to thank St Georges Hospital.
